La prueba de Aptis for Teachers permite obtener un certificado de inglés de nivel C. Se diferencia del Aptis General únicamente por su temática relacionada con la educación. La prueba está compuesta por cinco apartados: Reading, Writing, Speaking, Grammar and Vocabulary; y Listening.

El examen de “Listening” o comprensión oral está formado por 4 ejercicios. Los audios tratan sobre conversaciones entre profesores, padres hablando con sus hijos acerca del colegio, padres hablando con profesores, profesores hablando sobre su trabajo, alumnos hablando de profesores, trabajos, carga de deberes… A continuación, os dejo algunos ejercicios similares con audios de temática educativa para practicar.

1. Reconocimiento léxico

Consiste en escuchar una nota de voz, una conversación o monólogo. Debes identificar información especifica (un número de teléfono, una hora, un lugar,…). Las preguntas son tipo test con 3 posibles opciones cada una. En el caso del Aptis para profesores pueden preguntar a que hora es una reunión entre el profesor y los padres, el lugar de la reunión de profesores,…. Os dejo tres ejercicios de ejemplo para practicar (las transcripciones están al final del página):

2. ¿Quién dijo…?

Hay que escuchar 4 monólogos (A, B, C y D) de 4 personas distintas. Hay 6 posibles opciones a relacionar con cada una de las 4 personas. Es decir, hay dos opciones que están de más. Por ejemplo:

  1. He/ She studied at home with his cousins
  2. He/ She does not consider that his experience affects his way of relating to others
  3. He/She had part of his education at home and part of it at school

3. Comprensión de un monólogo

Escuchas un monólogo un poco más largo que los anteriores. Se plantean dos preguntas tipo test con 3 posibles respuestas cada una. El objetivo es detectar la actitud del hablante, su opinión o intención.

4. Unir opiniones

En el último ejercicio escuchas una conversación entre un hombre y una mujer. Se proporcionan cuatro oraciones o ideas y debemos relacionarlas con los participantes de la conversación. Es decir, si cada oración hace referencia a la mujer, al hombre o ambos. Debemos demostrar que tenemos un nivel B2 o incluso C al comprender la conversación.
